Hello, my name is Amy Tran and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT98864) in the state of California. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, Los Angeles and my Bachelor's Degree in Asian American Studies at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I have over 15 years of experience working with children, youth, families, and adults within a wide range of ages, levels of functioning, cultural backgrounds, family dynamics, and in various community settings.
My clinical areas of expertise include: psychological wellness, identity/self growth, healthy relationships, mindfulness, life transitions, parenting, stress management/anxiety, depression, trauma, adoption, and cross-cultural issues. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), interpersonal, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapies.
As a multicultural competent, and LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist, I am continuously aware of how cultural and sociopolitical factors impact your sense of well-being and relationships. Therefore, I strive to respect your worldview and values by providing a safe, sensitive, and non-judgmental environment. I am bilingual in English and Vietnamese and able to provide services in both languages.
